1. Scope of Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between Drop Your Book Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as "the Company", "We", or "Us") and individual students, institutions, or book owners (hereinafter referred to as "Sellers" or "Users") utilizing our online buyback platform, doorstep services, or walk-in hubs.

2. Book Submissions & Seller Accuracy

Sellers are responsible for providing authentic, complete, and accurate descriptions regarding the title, edition, author, physical binding, highlighting levels, and structural condition of the textbooks submitted through our sell your books portal or WhatsApp support.

3. Purchase Valuation & Payout Terms & Conditions

The Company agrees to purchase acceptable textbooks at the mutually finalized quote. Valuation depends on edition relevance, physical integrity, and current academic syllabus demand.

For local collections in Bhubaneswar, payments are processed instantly on the spot via UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) or Cash right after our pickup executive completes the physical inspection. For courier parcels, digital transfers are finalized within 24 to 48 hours of warehouse verification.

4. Doorstep Collection & Courier Logistics

We provide 100% free doorstep collection across student hostels, PGs, flats, and mess facilities throughout Patia and Bhubaneswar.

For remote regions requiring courier transit, Sellers must ensure secure packing using sturdy corrugated boxes and protective wrap. The Company shall not be held liable for transit damage resulting from inadequate packaging before arrival at our facility.

5. Quality Inspection & Right of Rejection

The Company reserves the full right to inspect every book upon physical receipt. Final valuation quotes may be adjusted or declined if the books:

• Have missing pages, damaged bindings, or severe water/oil stains.
• Represent obsolete, discontinued, or non-circulating syllabus editions.
• Are suspected to be unlawful pirated reprints or unauthenticated photocopies.

6. Finality of Sale Under Terms & Conditions

Once physical inspection is complete and payment is transferred by the Company to the Seller, the buyback transaction is finalized and non-reversible.

Books successfully sold cannot be claimed back, and payments made cannot be recalled. If an item is rejected during courier receipt due to misrepresentation, return courier costs must be borne by the Seller; uncollected rejected parcels will be responsibly recycled after 15 calendar days.

7. Payment Dispute Redressal

Any discrepancies regarding valuation or payout receipts must be communicated in writing within 3 business days of transaction completion to mail@dropyourbook.in or through our contact us page. Our audit team will review the transaction logs and provide prompt resolution.

8. Data Privacy & User Confidentiality

The Company strictly protects all user data, including banking details, UPI IDs, telephone numbers, and residential hostel addresses. Personal data is never leased, sold, or shared with unauthorized third-party commercial entities. Resale stock is systematically refurbished for students nationwide via our partner bookstore A2Z Book Hub.

9. Governing Law & Terms & Conditions Updates

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal proceedings, disputes, or claims arising from our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The Company reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Continued usage of our website or buyback services after modifications constitutes binding acceptance of the revised terms.
